Entitles the University of Alaska to take up to 250,000 acres of Federal lands or interests in lands in or adjacent to Alaska as a Federal grant in exchange for specified University holdings.
Sets forth requirements for the selection of lands by the University and the approval and conveyance of lands by the Secretary of the Interior. Provides for public notice and comment and for judicial review of agency decisions under this Act.
Entitles the University to take up to an additional 250,000 acres in Federal lands or interests in lands in or adjacent to Alaska, to be conveyed on an acre-for-acre basis as a matching grant for any lands granted to the University by the State of Alaska after enactment of this Act. Permits the University to select, and requires the Secretary to convey, land pursuant to this State matching grant in parcels of 25,000 acres or greater.
