A bill to transfer administrative jurisdiction over land of the Tennessee Valley Authority within the Daniel Boone National Forest to the Secretary of Agriculture and compensate the Authority for the transfer
Subjects the transfer of such lands to the authority of the Secretary of the Interior with respect to mineral resources underlying National Forest System Land, including mineral leasing laws and the Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act of 1977.
Prohibits surface mining with respect to the lands except as provided in such Act.
Requires the Secretary of the Interior to provide to TVA specified monetary credits in consideration for the transfer.
