A bill to create an independent office in the Department of Labor to advocate on behalf of pension participants, and for other purposes.

Amends the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA) to establish an Office of Pension Participant Advocacy in the Department of Labor under the supervision and direction of a Pension Participant Advocate who shall: (1) have demonstrated experience in the area of pension participant assistance; (2) be selected by the Secretary of Labor after consultation with pension participant advocacy organizations; and (3) report directly to the Secretary.
