A bill to ensure that immigrant students and their families receive the services that the students and families need to successfully participated in elementary schools, secondary schools, and communities, in the United States, and for other purposes.
Limits the number of such grants to ten in a fiscal year. Limits the duration of any such grant to five years, with not more than one year for planning and design. Requires that each partnership eligible to receive such a grant include at least one local educational agency and at least one community-based organization. Allow such a partnership to include another entity such as an institution of higher education, a local or State government agency, a private sector entity, or another entity with expertise in working with immigrants.
Authorizes appropriations.
