Mother-to-Child HIV Prevention Act of 2000

Mother-to-Child HIV Prevention Act of 2000 - Amends the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 to direct the agency primarily responsible for administering assistance for health programs in developing countries to coordinate with UNAIDS, UNICEF, WHO, local governments, and other organizations to: (1) develop and implement effective strategies to prevent vertical (mother-to- child) transmission of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV); and (2) increase in scale intervention programs and introduce voluntary counseling and testing, antiretroviral drugs, replacement feeding, and other strategies more widely in due course. Authorizes appropriations.
