A bill to amend the Public Health Service Act to provide health care practitioners in rural areas with training in preventive health care, including both physical and mental care, and for other purposes.
Rural Preventive Health Care Training Act of 1999 - Amends the Public Health Service Act, as amended by the Health Professions Education Partnership Act of 1998, to authorize the Secretary of Health and Human Services to enter into contracts for preventive health care training of rural health care practitioners.
Authorizes appropriations.
