A bill to amend the National Historic Preservation Act to reauthorize that Act, and for other purposes.
Authorizes appropriations through FY 2005 for the Historic Preservation Fund under such Act.
Provides a priority in the selection by the head of a Federal agency of properties for preservation as historic sites of: (1) historic properties in historic districts; (2) other developed or undeveloped sites in historic districts; and (3) historic properties outside of historic districts. Requires any property rehabilitation or reconstruction to be architecturally compatible with the character of surrounding historic districts or properties.
Extends through FY 2005 the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation.
