To modernize the requirements under the National Manufactured Housing Construction and Safety Standards Act of 1974 and to establish a balanced concensus process for the development, revision, and interpretation of Federal construction and safety standards for manufactured homes.
Manufactured Housing Improvement Act - Amends the National Manufactured Housing Construction and Safety Standards Act of 1974 to revise Federal construction and safety provisions for manufactured homes based upon a consensus standards development process.
Eliminates the National Manufactured Home Advisory Council.
Revises related fee provisions to: (1) apply such fees to manufactured home manufacturers (currently fees apply to manufacturers, distributors, and dealers); and (2) establish in the Treasury the Manufactured Housing Fees Trust Fund.
