Prohibits States from authorizing the sale of automobile insurance unless it is subject to cancellation in accordance with the cancellation requirements of this Act.
Allows cancellation only if: (1) written cancellation notice is given at least 180 days before the cancellation; (2) the named insured's driver's license was suspended or revoked; or (3) the named insured has been convicted of, or forfeited bail for, any action connected with operating a motor vehicle that is grounds for license suspension or revocation.
Mandates notice of nonrenewal at least 180 days before the expiration of the policy.
Provides for enforcement.
