Michael Colombo Veterans' Claims Correction Act of 2000

Michael Colombo Veterans' Claims Correction Act of 2000 - Provides that, for purposes of determining eligible recipients of accrued veterans' benefits, the term "children" shall be applied without regard to age or dependency in the case of a veteran who dies with a pending claim for increased compensation (or an increased disability rating) which is later granted.

Makes this Act effective retroactively to veterans dying on or after May 1, 1998, but prohibits such amounts from being paid before October 1, 2000.
