To amend the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 to clarify the overtime exemption for emergency medicine employees.

Amends the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 to include paramedics, emergency medical technicians, and rescue and ambulance service personnel, for purposes of a limited overtime exemption, as employees in fire protection activities.

Provides that this Act shall not be construed to reduce or substitute for compensation standards: (1) in any existing or future collective bargaining agreement or memorandum of understanding, reached by employee representatives in accordance with State or local laws; and (2) which result in greater compensation for employees than that available under such overtime exemption.
