Summary

DNA Backlog Elimination Act - Requires the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation to develop a voluntary plan to assist State and local forensic laboratories in performing deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) analyses of DNA samples collected from convicted offenders and in analyzing all casework evidence for unsolved crimes in a manner that will provide for their entry into the Combined DNA Indexing System.

Authorizes appropriations.
