Directs the Secretary of Health and Human Services to establish a National Firearm Injury Reporting System consisting of a central repository of information on all fatal injuries caused by firearms in the United States.
Authorizes the Secretary to make grants to States to enable each State to collect information on all such injuries in the State. Requires the Secretary to establish an advisory committee to advise the Secretary on appropriate standards to apply in the awarding of such grants.
Authorizes appropriations.
