A bill to amend the Freedom of Information Act to provide electronic access to certain Internal Revenue Service information on the Internet, and for other purposes.
Taxpayers Internet Assistance Act of 1998 - Amends the Freedom of Information Act to require the Internal Revenue Service to make available on the Internet specified records, as well as all IRS forms, instructions, and publications, which are currently required to be made available to the public.
Requires a study of how to more effectively use the Internet to provide services to taxpayers.
