Care for Police Survivors Act of 1998 - Amends the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 to authorize the Director of the Bureau of Justice Assistance to use no less than $150,000 of funds for national programs for families of public safety officers who have died in the line of duty to maintain and enhance national peer support and counseling programs.
Authorizes the Bureau of Justice Assistance to use appropriated funds to conduct appeals of public safety officers' death and disability claims.
