To direct the Secretary of Transportation to conduct an assessment of available technologies for establishing a system to access information regarding the motor vehicle driving records of all motor vehicle operators in the United States.
Driver Record Information Verification System Act - Directs the Secretary of Transportation to assess and report to the Congress on: (1) the available technologies to determine the most feasible and economical means of establishing a system to access information regarding U.S. motorists' driving records; and (2) the usefulness and cost-effectiveness of using social security account numbers as the basis for identification of motor vehicle operators within the system.
Authorizes appropriations.
