To provide for the installation of enhanced vision technologies to replace and enhance conventional lighting systems with respect to airport improvement projects.
Airport Safety Act - Directs the Secretary of Transportation to issue regulations requiring sponsors of airports to install, over a ten-year period, enhanced visual technologies (laser guidance, ultraviolet guidance, and cold cathode technologies) to replace or enhance conventional landing light systems.
Amends Federal aviation law to include the installation of such technologies at airports as an activity eligible for airport development project funds.
