To eliminate the requirement that fingerprints be supplied for background checks on volunteers.
Volunteer Organization Safety Act of 1998 - Prohibits the U.S. Government from requiring, as a condition of completing a State and Federal criminal history check on a volunteer through the national criminal history background check system, that the requesting entity supply such person's fingerprints.
