Amends provisions of the Omnibus Consolidated Rescissions and Appropriations Act of 1996 relating to the Department of the Interior and related agencies to repeal provisions regarding the Tongass Land Management Plan, the Forest Service, and timber sales.
Amends provisions of the Act relating to the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and independent agencies to repeal provisions regarding the appropriation of funds for the termination of the Office of Consumer Affairs.
Directs the Secretary of the Interior to convey to the Daughters of the American Colonists a plaque placed in 1933 by that organization on the Great Southern Hotel in Saint Louis, Missouri, to mark the site of Fort San Carlos.
Repeals provisions authorizing the President, without regard to certain limitations in the Foreign Operations, Export Financing, and Related Programs Appropriations Act, 1996, to make funds available in specified circumstances (relating to family planning services and abortion) for assistance under titles II (Bilateral Economic Assistance) and IV (Multilateral Economic Assistance) of that Act.
Pursuant to the provisions of S.J. Res. 53, enrollment corrections have been made.
