A concurrent resolution supporting a resolution to the long-standing dispute regarding Cyprus.

Reaffirms that: (1) the status quo on Cyprus is unacceptable; and (2) all foreign troops should be withdrawn.

Welcomes the appointment of a Special Presidential Emissary for Cyprus.

Expresses continued support for efforts by the United Nations (UN) Secretary General and the U.S. Government to resolve the Cyprus problem.

Insists that all parties to the dispute agree to seek a solution based upon relevant UN resolutions.

Supports demilitarization of Cyprus.

Encourages the UN Security Council and the U.S. Government to consider alternative approaches to promote a resolution of the dispute based upon relevant Security Council resolutions.
