A bill to provide for improved information collection and dissemination by the Environmental Protection Agency, and for other purposes.
Public Trust and Environmental Accountability Act - Directs the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to develop a plan to implement policies, programs, and methods for integrating and making publicly available information regarding the environment and public health policy concerns within EPA's jurisdiction. Requires coordination of these activities with those of other governmental agencies and allows integration and dissemination of publicly available information not collected by EPA. Allows the Administrator to set charges for providing information. Requires policies to include support services to encourage public use of EPA-maintained information.
Requires the Administrator to establish an award program to recognize companies for source reduction programs.
