A bill to reduce Federal spending and enhance military satellite communications by reducing funds for the MILSTAR II satellite program and accelerating plans for deployment of the Advanced EHF Satellite/MILSTAR III.
Military Satellite Communications Enhancement Act of 1995 - Directs the Secretary of Defense to terminate the Milstar II communications satellite development and acquisition program after procurement of two such satellites.
Directs the Secretary to develop, and report to the Congress on, a program to accelerate development, acquisition, and deployment of the Advanced Extremely High Frequency Communications Satellite (Milstar III), small enough to be launched on a medium-launch vehicle.
