To amend title 18, United States Code, to prohibit interactive computer services from releasing to the public certain private information.
On-Line Privacy Protection Act of 1996 - Amends the Federal criminal code to impose a penalty of up to $500 against any interactive computer service that releases to the public any private personally identifiable information of another person without that person's prior informed written consent.
