Authorizes the Secretary of the Interior to coordinate the Underground Railroad interpretive programs of the National Park Service (NPS) with the interpretive activities of the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center which is to be built in Cincinnati, Ohio, and devoted to the story of the Underground Railroad.
Authorizes: (1) the Secretary to provide technical assistance to the Center in developing such programs and to enter into cooperative agreements with the State of Ohio, the city of Cincinnati, and other public or private entities to provide such assistance; and (2) the NPS to work in partnership with the Center in its efforts to disseminate information on the Underground Railroad.
Requires the Secretary to treat the Center as an affiliated National Park System area.
