Makes technical corrections to the Federal Oil and Gas Royalty Management Act of 1982, as amended by the Federal Oil and Gas Royalty Simplification and Fairness Act of 1996.
Provides that interest shall not be paid (currently, "shall be paid") on an excessive monthly royalty overpayment (more than ten percent of the total royalties paid for the month for a particular lease or leases) which was made for the sole purpose of receiving interest.
