Provides for adjournment of the House of Representatives from Thursday, February 1, 1996, until 1: 0 p.m. on Monday, February 26, 1996, or until noon on the second day after Members are notified to reassemble according to this concurrent resolution, whichever occurs first.
Provides for recess or adjournment of the Senate until 3 p.m. on Monday, February 26, 1996, (or until noon on the second day after Members are notified to reassemble according to this concurrent resolution, whichever occurs first) from either Thursday, February 1, Tuesday, February 6, Wednesday, February 7, Thursday, February 8, Tuesday, February 13, Wednesday, February 14, or Thursday, February 15, 1996, pursuant to a motion made by the Majority Leader or his designee.
Requires the Speaker of the House and the Majority Leader of the Senate, acting jointly after consultation with the Minority Leaders of the House and Senate, to notify the Members of the House and Senate, respectively, to reassemble whenever, in their opinion, the public interest shall warrant it.
