A bill to prohibit the use of bovine somatotropin in intrastate, interstate, or international commerce until equivalent marketing practices for the use of bovine somatotropin are established with the marketing practices of other major milk or dairy products exporting nations.
Bovine Somatotropin Marketing Equivalency Act of 1993 - Amends the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to define bovine somatotropin for purposes of such Act.
Prohibits its use in intrastate, interstate, or international commerce until the President certifies that the U.S. dairy industry has established equivalent marketing practices (for bovine somatotropin) with those of one or more major milk and dairy exporting countries.
