A bill to provide for the rehiring by the Federal Aviation Administration of certain former air traffic controllers.
Fair Treatment of Former Air Traffic Controllers Act of 1993 - Prohibits air traffic controllers who were terminated for striking on or about August 3, 1981, from being considered, as a class, unsuitable for reinstatement in the Federal Aviation Administration. Requires reinstatement on a case-by-case basis by the Office of Personnel Management.
Prohibits claims against the United States or any U.S. employee based on a failure to reinstate, except claims based on racial, religious, sex, or ethnic discrimination.
