A bill to provide for the cancellation of all existing leases and to ban all new leasing activities under the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act in the area off the coast of Florida, and for other purposes.
Florida Coastal Protection Act - Prohibits the Secretary of the Interior from conducting any preleasing activity or holding any lease sale under the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act in the South Atlantic Planning Area off the coast of Florida, the Straits of Florida Planning Area, and the Eastern Gulf of Mexico Planning Area.
Cancels specific existing leases off the Florida coast and requires compensation to lessees after the filing of a report on analysis of the cancelled leases.
Authorizes appropriations.
