An original bill to reduce the costs and increase the effectiveness of the Federal Government, and for other purposes.
Government Streamlining and Reform Act of 1993 - Establishes an independent Commission on Government Streamlining and Reform to examine and make recommendations to reform the organization and operations of the executive branch to improve performance while reducing costs by consolidating redundant programs and agencies, streamlining operations, and promoting economy, efficiency, consistency, and accountability in programs and services. Provides procedures for making and implementing such recommendations.
Applies the proceeds from any sale of assets under this Act to reduce the Federal debt.
Authorizes appropriations.
