Prohibits the expenditure of Federal funds to construct, erect, or modify highway signs using metric system measurements unless the Congress specifically authorizes such expenditure.
Makes such prohibition inapplicable with respect to Puerto Rico.
The House took from the Speaker's table and moved to the consideration of S. 1887, a similar measure to H.R. 4385.
