Arson Prevention and National Forest Protection Act - Provides that whoever, with intent to cause damage or destroy property, intentionally and maliciously causes a fire that damages or destroys Government property shall be fined, imprisoned for up to 20 years, or both.
Increases the punishment for such an offense if: (1) a dwelling is destroyed (up to 25 years); (2) the life of any person is placed in jeopardy (up to 30 years); (3) personal injury results (between 20 and 40 years); and (4) death of any person results (over 25 years, life imprisonment, or the death penalty).
