To amend title 38, United States Code, to increase the limitation on the maximum amount of the estate of certain veterans without dependents who are receiving hospital treatment or institutional or domiciliary care from the United States before disability compensation, pension, and certain other benefits are suspended.

Raises to $5,000 (currently $1,500) the ceiling on the maximum amount allowed for the estates of certain veterans without dependents who are receiving hospital treatment or institutional or domiciliary care without charge or otherwise by the United States before pension, compensation, or emergency officers' retirement pay is suspended.
