Mr. Inglis of South Carolina introduced the following bill; which was

A BILL
To end the price support program for wool and mohair.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Wool and Mohair Price Support
Program Termination Act of 1993''.
SEC. 2. TERMINATION OF WOOL AND MOHAIR PRICE SUPPORT PROGRAM.
(a) In General.--The National Wool Act of 1954 (7 U.S.C. 1781 et
seq.) is repealed.
(b) Conforming Amendments.--Section 256(a) of the Balanced Budget
and Emergency Deficit Control Act of 1985 (2 U.S.C. 906(a)) is
amended--
(1) by striking paragraph (1); and
(2) by redesignating paragraphs (2) and (3) as paragraphs
(1) and (2), respectively.
SEC. 3. TRANSITION PROVISIONS.
The amendments made by this Act shall not affect the liability of
any person under any provision of law as in effect before the effective
date of this Act.
SEC. 4. EFFECTIVE DATE.
The Act and the amendments made by this Act shall apply beginning
with the marketing year beginning January 1, 1994.
