To amend section 315 of the Communications Act of 1934 with respect to the purchase of broadcasting time by candidates for public office.
Campaign Advertising Act of 1993 - Amends the Communications Act of 1934 to: (1) reduce the period during which the cost of broadcast media time for candidates may not exceed the lowest charge for the same time slot and amount of time; (2) limit the cost to qualified candidates of broadcasting time for pre-election political advertising to the lowest rate charged for any time in the same time slot; and (3) prohibit any broadcast licensee from preempting the use of any such time purchased by a qualified candidate.
