Condemns the violence in South Africa. Urges: (1) all political organizations and other signatories of the Peace Accord to take concrete steps to end the violence; and (2) the Government of South Africa to take steps to end the violence and protect all South Africans.
Expresses: (1) support for the efforts of the Goldstone Commission of Inquiry into Violence and Intimidation and calls on all parties to adhere to its recommendations; and (2) the sense of the Senate that the President should prepare and transmit to the Senate a report on the nature of the violence in South Africa, the role that the various participants are playing, and the impact of such violence on South Africa's transition to democracy, and recommendations for actions to be taken by the United States to support the ending of political violence.
