A bill to provide for Federal recognition of the Jena band of Choctows of Louisiana, and for other purposes.
Jena Band of Choctaw Recognition Act - Extends Federal recognition and associated services and benefits to the Jena Band of Choctaws of Louisiana.
Directs that the Tribe be governed by an Interim Council until the Secretary of the Interior, upon the written request of the Council, conducts an election to adopt a constitution for the Tribe and elect tribal officials.
