A bill to authorize a study of the feasibility and suitability of designating the Augusta Canal National Historic Landmark District as a National Heritage Area, and for other purposes.
Augusta Canal National Heritage Area Study Act of 1992 - Directs the Secretary of the Interior, acting through the Director of the National Park Service, to study and report to specified congressional committees on the alternative means of retaining, preserving, restoring, enhancing, and interpreting the cultural, historical, natural, and recreational resources of the Augusta Canal National Historic Landmark District in Georgia.
Requires the Secretary to prepare an integrated resource management plan for the Area. Authorizes appropriations.
