A bill to identify Federal programs and agencies that are obsolete and should be eliminated or which are duplicative and should be consolidated with similar operations in other departments to promote efficiency in operation and uniformity of governmental action.
Federal Government Streamlining Act of 1992 - Establishes the Federal Government Streamlining Commission to identify Federal Government agencies and programs which are outdated and should be abolished or which are duplicative and should be consolidated. Requires the Commission to recommend to the President and the Congress those agencies and programs to be abolished or combined into other programs. Provides procedures for implementation of such report, including passage of a joint resolution of approval.
