A bill to amend section 4214 of title 38, United States Code, to modify certain eligibility requirements for veterans readjustment appointments in the Federal service, and for other purposes.
Veterans Readjustment Appointment Amendments of 1992 - Expands eligibility for veterans' readjustment appointments (Federal employment positions for veterans) to include: (1) all veterans of the Vietnam era (currently, only Vietnam era veterans having a service-connected disability or having served on active duty for which a campaign badge has been authorized); and (2) a veteran who served on active duty after the Vietnam era for more than 180 days and was discharged or released under conditions other than dishonorable or because of a service-connected disability.
Extends through December 31, 1995, the authorized period for such appointments.
