A bill to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to require the participation in general election debates of certain candidates who receive public campaign financing.
Presidential Debates Act of 1992 - Amends the Internal Revenue Code to require as a condition of eligibility to receive payments from the Presidential Election Campaign Fund that presidential candidates agree to participate in at least three debates of at least 90 minutes each, sponsored by a nonpartisan entity, to be held in September and October preceding the relevant election. Requires a corresponding agreement by vice-presidential candidates, but for a minimum of only one debate.
