A bill to alleviate burdens imposed upon educational agencies and institutions by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 with respect to the maintenances of records by campus law enforcement units.

Amends the General Education Provisions Act to exclude from the definition of educational records, under requirements relating to family educational and privacy rights, any records maintained by a law enforcement unit or the educational agency or institution that were created by that law enforcement unit for the purpose of law enforcement.
