Condemns the Government of Cuba for its human rights violations.
Calls upon such Government to: (1) release all human rights monitors, independent activists, and other political prisoners; (2) respect internationally recognized human rights; and (3) allow the international Committee of the Red Cross access to Cuban prisons.
Commends: (1) the United Nations Human Rights Commission for its attention to the human rights situation in Cuba; and (2) the U.S. delegation to such Commission for its diligence in pursuing this issue.
Urges all member states of such Commission to support the continued investigation of Cuban human rights violations by the appointment of a special rapporteur or working group on Cuba.
