To provide that a Federal employee who is separated, due to a reduction in force, within 18 months before becoming eligible for an early-retirement annuity may elect to continue in Government service, without pay, until the age and service requirements for such an annuity are met.
Federal Employees Discontinued Service Retirement Eligibility Extension Act - Directs the Office of Personnel Management to prescribe regulations that provide that a Federal employee who is separated due to a reduction in force, within 18 months before becoming eligible for an early-retirement annuity, may elect to continue in Government service, without pay, until the age and service requirements for a discontinued service annuity are met.
