To amend the Animal Welfare Act to prohibit dog racing involving the use of live animals as visual lures, to prohibit the training with such lures of dogs for dog racing, and to make such Act applicable to facilities that are used for dog racing or dog race training.
Anti-Live Animal Lure Act - Amends the Animal Welfare Act to prohibit the sponsoring, exhibiting, or transporting to sponsor or exhibit of an animal or dog in any coursing venture. Defines "coursing" as any activity involving the pursuit by dogs of another animal as a visual lure for training, entertainment, sport, or wagering. Excludes from such definition any activity whose primary purpose is the use or training of dogs for hunting, capturing, or retrieving other animals.
