To provide an additional civil remedy for certain deprivations of rights by State and local law enforcement officers.
Police Misconduct Civil Remedy Act of 1992 - Makes any unit of State or local government liable in a civil action for the conduct of a law enforcement officer that subjects, under color of law, any individual to the deprivation of any rights, privileges, or immunities secured by the Constitution or laws of the United States, whether or not the officer had a reasonable good faith belief in the lawfulness of the conduct. Provides for a time limit on actions.
