To require the certification of counselors providing home-ownership and rental advice under programs of the Department of Housing and Urban Development and provide for training of such counselors, and for other purposes.
National Housing Counselors Certification and Training Act of 1992 - Amends the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 to direct the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development to establish a homeownership and rental counselor training and certification program, which shall include certification and testing standards. Authorizes appropriations.
Applies such requirements to counseling and counseling assistance under specified housing, mortgage, and related programs.
