Membrane Processes Research Act of 1992 - Requires the Director of the National Science Foundation to establish, through grants, contracts, cooperative agreements, or direct research, a basic research program on the treatment of contaminated water through membranes and membrane processes.
States with regard to such program that: (1) its research goals shall be the development of efficient longer lasting membranes and innovative technologies for membrane processes; and (2) it shall be coordinated with other Federal research efforts.
Authorizes FY 1993 appropriations.
