To amend the Communications Act of 1934 to prohibit certain practices in the use of automatic dialing devices.
Electronic Telemarketing Privacy Act - Amends the Communications Act of 1934 to prohibit any electronic telephone solicitation or advertisement from being initiated by any person without the prior request of the person being called unless the following conditions are met: (1) within the first 30 seconds, the caller must identify the product or service being offered; (2) at the end of 30 seconds, the call must be automatically terminated, unless the person being called gives permission for the call to continue by some positive response; and (3) no such solicitation or advertisement may be made between 9 p.m. and 9 a.m. on any day of the week.
