To encourage the reporting of sexual assaults by protecting the privacy rights of victims.
Privacy Protection for Rape Victims Act of 1991 - Authorizes an individual, in a civil action, to obtain appropriate relief from any person who identifies, in a manner calculated to inform the general public, such individual as the alleged victim of a criminal sex offense.
Limits the applicability of this Act to conduct that employs an instrumentality of, or is in, interstate or foreign commerce.
